Meat is a good source of protein but it's expensive.
Cheese, poultry, eggs, peanut butter, dried peas, beans,
lentils, and some fish are less expensive and excellent
sources of protein.
I really like beans and Rice.... omlettes, p&J samiches.... nice departure from meat suppers
tuna and chees melts.....

1Yes - it is good to include lots of textures and tastes!!!
2lentil soup is actually pretty good too!
3It's good to mix it up a little bit to not have meat products so often. I've had fish, rice, beans, omelettes for dinner (w/ spinach & cheese). Nuts are great, too.
4Yes La dee da dee - My mom makes an excellent lentil soup and it is delicious!!!
5Nuts are great td!!! I always carry a couple of bags of shelled walnuts, almonds, filberts etc. in the car - because I commute - they are good fillers that are good for you! I also love sliced or slivers on some of my salads .....
